This is the first of five screens that I've taken of the (obviously) not-yet-completed AeroShell 2.0 and its' new theme. As you can see, I've taken quite a few liberties and applied a few good ideas to it. The iconsets, of course, are *not* what will be in the final -- they're definitely on the 'to-do' list, but that's #411 and I'm on #304.
As you can see, it's got tabs. Lots of tabs. The tabs on the right are for the various little widgets and things that I thought would be spiffy to have. The tabs on the left are something else -- the File Manager. The idea is that when you click a tab, the item slides outward. Click it again, it goes away. Nothing to it.
The File Manager tabs are all connected to the single File Manager instance -- they act to not only show the FM, but also to load the appropriate thing within it. Of course, you may customize it to show whatever you like, and that includes adding MORE tabs.
So with all these configs running, how's the resource usage? It's a pig, of course -- you don't get eye candy like this for free -- mainly the File Manager. We compensate for this by having ALL configs running at Low or Idle priority. I figure that if it's going to be a pig, the least it can do is not slow you down. How it's perform? Decent.
Enjoy the screenshots. Plenty more to come in the following months.
